Came up to Kirkcudbright once again. The wettest and windest yet. But still enjoyed it. Going to the Church Hall for Scottish night was a first for us. It was lovely to hear the band and see the dancers. We were soaking but still enjoyed it. It was our loss when the kids were complaining about being cold and wet and we were unable to go to the band hut. The Tattoo was excellent as well and thankfully stayed dry for most of it. We'll be back next year! A very big thank you to the festivities committee.

Web response: Seems Kirkcudbright was one of the wettest places in the UK this August. But we survived! Our thanks to all who attend our events and support us so loyally.

What can we say? Thursday 27th and the weather was dire, but with a show of community spirit we have never witnessed before and the entire evening moved to the local hall and continued in a truly superb way. The pipe band, the Highland dancers and the Irish dancers all created a night to remember. It was our first visit to KBT, but it won't be our last. Next time we will be there for the tattoo. Our thanks go out to all who must have worked so hard to create such a special night. Don't ever stop!! we love you all!!

Devasted we couldn't come tattoo week this year but came the last week in July and had a fabulous time - came to the Scottish Night and saw some of our favourites there which kept us happy and won meat voucher in raffle!! Got some bargains in the Festivities Charity Shop - my daughter paricular pleased with her Armani Jeans dress for £2 - hoping we can make tattoo week next year!

The Tattoo is fantastic and this will be our 3rd year in a row. It has quickly become a family tradition to attend every August. Please continue to keep it the way it is, a great spectacle for all the family. It is also very welcome that it is not over commecialised and it is sponsored by local businesses.

Good to see the festivities are still in operation. I have not seen them in 13 years since I left KBT for South Africa. Good to see that Andy is still about and keeping up the Scottish spirit.

Yet another great holiday in Kirkcudbright, the highlight of which is the tattoo. The bands, dancers, gymnasts were all were fantastic. And of course a massive thank you to the 'back stage' people who bring it all together - someone suggested we go to see the Edinburgh tattoo, I said why bother?!! Can't believe how the weather went from wet to wonderful just in time for the evening - you've obviously got someone looking out for you!
